About Dr. Thomas J. Gerou

Dr. Thomas J. Gerou is a graduate of Plymouth-Canton High School, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Physiology from Eastern Michigan University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois. 

He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from National College of Chiropractic.  Post-graduate studies include becoming a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. 

Dr. Gerou was nominated as a “Top Chiropractor” by Hour Detroit magazine.  Over the years, he has been very involved in the Canton community, particularly the Canton Chamber of Commerce, and has been invited to lecture at the High School to students with an interest in health care, as well as Canton residents on Chiropractic and also Running Injuries.

Married to Patty, they reside in Canton.  Our close-knit family is special, with 4 step-children and 4 grandchildren to keep us busy and happily entertained!

As an avid runner, Dr. Gerou has competed in 70 marathons, including 30+ Detroit Free Press and 18 Boston marathons! Receiving a chiropractic adjustment just moments prior to the 1998 Boston marathon enabled Dr. Gerou to establish his personal best marathon time of 2:41:21, demonstrating how chiropractic can improve performance!
